            Jon addressed his audience with a grin on his face.

            “Living next door to Hell, we invite Hell’s most Influential

 

Citizen who knows this place intimately. In celebration

            Of our journey and our proximity to pain,

            I call up the image and spirit of Satan

 

Himself!” A drum roll followed, all eyes were on the screen.

            Expectation rose every second and then,

            Nothing! Jon Stewart turned around, leaned

 

Forward and with his pen, scratched his ear.

            Suddenly, from the silence, a Voice

            Boomed out, “Who the Hell do you think will appear?”

 

“Satan?” Jon asked, “Is that you? What’s with the Zen?

            The blank screen? We want to meet and greet You,

            Since we live next door to Your den.”

 

“I’m Here,” He replied, “But YOU must tell ME who I am.

            I’m not real, I’m all made up. Who do you want me to be?”

            I’m just ‘the Other.’ Help! I’m in a jam.”
